Chiller Logs

Setting Up a Unit and Log


In order to begin logging data for a chiller, a unit must first be created. Perform the following steps to create a unit: 1. Tap the Add button (plus icon), located at the center of the bottom navigation bar. 2. Select "Create a New Unit" 3. Enter the address of the Unit's location 4. Select "Choose Address" 5. Fill out all required fields on the "Unit Information" screen Note: If the Unit does not have a serial number or manufacturer number, you can input any characters in order to bypass these required fields. 6. Select "Create" 7. On the "Unit Parameters" page, select "New" if this is your first unit or you would like to assign specific parameters to this unit. Otherwise, select "From another Unit" to use an existing unit's parameters as a template. 8a. If you selected "New", select all desired parameters. Otherwise, go to step 8b. 8b. If you selected "From another Unit", verify that all desired parameters are selected. 9. Select "SAVE", located at the top right of the screen. 10. Your unit has been created!




Logging Chiller Data


Chiller logs can be recorded after a unit is created. In order to record chiller data, perform the following steps: 1. Select the Add Icon (plus symbol), located at the center of the navigation bar, then select "Log Entry for a Unit". 1a. Select the desired unit on the "Pick a Unit" screen 1b. Alternatively, you can navigate to the "Unit Logs" page, then select the desired unit 2. Select the "New Log Entry" button 3. Select the first blank field, located to the right of the first parameter 4. Fill out all fields Note: Parameter fields may be skipped, but this will prompt a warning pop-up.This warning may be ignored if the parameter is meant to be blank. 5. Save the log by selecting "DONE", located on the upper-right corner of the log screen.




Exporting Data From LogTAP to Your Computer


Unit chiller logs can be exported via email. The emailed file will be compatible with Microsoft Excel of Google Sheets. This feature will be available soon.




Organizing Chiller Units Into Buildings


Units can be organized into folders called "Buildings" Warning: A Building must be created prior to logging any data for a unit. If a unit has been created first and logs have been recorded, it cannot be moved into a Building. * Existing units will be reorganizable in a future update In order to create a Building, perform the following steps: 1. Select the Add button (plus icon), located at the center of the navigation menu 2. Select "Building" 3. Name the Building by filling out the "Building Name / Address" field 4. Select "SAVE", located at the top right of the screen 5. Select the Building on the "Unit Logs" screen 6. Select the Add button, located at the bottom of the screen, to add a unit to the Building * Refer to "Setting Up a Unit and Log"




Modifying a Unit and/or Chiller Log


The following can be modified to a unit and/or chiller log: - Unit Details - Unit Manufacturer - UnitSerial Number - Unit Manufacturer Number - Unit Location - Chiller log parameters In order to reach the unit/chiller log settings, perform the following steps: 1. Navigate to the "Unit Logs" page, then select the desired unit 2. Select the Settings button (the gear icon), located at the top right of the unit screen 3. Make desired modifications 4. Select "SAVE", located at the top right of the screen




How do chiller logs work in LogTAP?


Digital chiller logs are modifiable, exportable, and always stored on a cloud server. Unlike traditional paper chiller logs, your recorded data is automatically ready for analysis. No need to manually transfer values from a log sheet to a spreadsheet. Welcome to the future!





Charts and Trends

How do charts and trends work in LogTAP?


- Each chart can compare one parameter for several units - The chart is updated after every log entry - The trend scope can be changed to weekly, monthly, or bi-annual time frames Note: Charts for new units will require 1 day of data before trends can be populated




Creating a Chart


To create a new chart, perform the following steps: 1. Select the Add button (plus icon), located at the center of the navigation menu. 2. Select "New Chart" 3. Select the parameter you want to trend 4. Select "Next", located at the top right of the Parameter screen 5. Select the Units you would like to trend 6. Select "Next", located at the top right of the Units screen 7. Select your desired graph style Note: this can be modified after chart creation 8. Select "Done", located at the top right of the Style screen




Sharing Charts With Your Team


To share charts with your team, perform the steps in "Customizing and Modifying a Chart" then toggle "Share Chart With Team" to the ON position.




Customizing and Modifying a Chart


To customize or modify your chart, perform the following steps: 1. Navigate to the Dashboard screen 2. Select the chart you want to modify 3. Select "Edit", located at the top right of the screen 4. Modify any options as needed 5. Select "SAVE:, located at the top right of the screen





Team Management

Adding Team Members


LogTAP is designed as a collaborative tool, so team members can view and share data with each other. If you created the team, you are the team administrator. This means you are able to send invitations. In order to invite team members, perform the following steps: 1. Navigate to the Profile page by selecting the person icon, located on the far right of the navigation menu 2. Select the Team button on the top left of the Profile screen 3. Select "Add Members" 4. Fill out all fields 5. Select "SEND", located on the top right of the screen




Deactivating and Reactivating Team Members


You may deactivate users from your team if they resign or are no longer part of your team. To deactivate a user, perform the following steps: 1. Navigate to the Team screen (refer to the "Adding team members" guide) 2. Select the team member you would like to deactivate 3. Select "Deactivate Membership" If you would like to reactivate a user, perform the following steps: 1. Navigate to the "Inactive" tab 2. Select the user you would like to reactivate 3. Select "Reactivate membership"




Inviting Contractors


If a contractor or temporary field technician is servicing your chiller, you can invite them as a normal team member (refer to "Adding Team Members"). If the contractor is no longer working with your team, simply deactivate their membership (refer to "Deactivating and Reactiviating Team Members")




Resending Invitations


If a potential team member needs an invitation resent, perform the following steps: 1. Navigate to the Team screen (refer to "Adding Team Members") 2. Select the "Invited" tab 3. Select a team member you would like to resend an invitation to 4. Select "Resend Invitation" If the email is incorrect, perform the following steps: 5. Perform steps 1 through 3 6. Select "Remove Invitation" 7. Refer to "Adding Team Members" to create another invitation with the correct email address




Accepting an Invitation / Joining a Team


If you have been sent an invitation to join a team, perform the following steps: 1. Open the email in your inbox, check your junk or spam folder if you do not see the invitation 2. Select "Accept Invitation" 3. If required, download and install LogTAP 4. Select "Launch the App" Note: this button only appears after selecting the "Accept Invitation" 5. Register to the team by following the in-app prompts
